Stone O’Neal joined the Texas A&M football staff in December 2025 as associate director of recruiting/acquisition.
Named a 247Sports.com Rising Star “Personnel & Recruiting Staffers You Need To Know” in 2025, O’Neal arrived in Aggieland after serving as director of player personnel and pro liaison at Georgia State University, overseeing recruiting and personnel departments, compliance, prospect evaluations and pro day coordination. He helped secure the highest rated signing class in Sun Belt history for the 2025 signing class.
Previously, he was a Nunn Wooten Scouting Fellow with the Houston Texans, where he participated in player evaluations during practices, training camp and preseason games, gaining exposure to football operations, personnel management and the player acquisition process within an NFL organization.
O’Neal also served as a player personnel analyst at the University of Georgia, creating personalized recruiting strategies, hosting prospects, managing recruiting boards and tracking offers. Earlier in his career, O’Neal was a graduate assistant at Temple University, working with the defensive line and participating in recruiting activities and an offensive volunteer assistant at Georgia Southern University, supporting coaches, tagging film and monitoring the transfer portal.
A native of Stockbridge, Ga., O’Neal earned his BBA in management from Georgia Southern University’s Parker College of Business. Before transferring to Georgia Southern, O’Neal played fullback at Mars Hill University (N.C.), where he started as a sophomore.
