Kat Conner
    Texas St. Head Coach
"It was a great game. A&M played phenomenal; the wind was phenomenal too. But hats off to A&M. They came in with a lot of intensity and put in a couple of quick goals on us and got us on our heels a little bit. What they [A&M] did defensively was they stretched us. That's a great job. Hats off to them, great coaching. And I'm really proud of my kids."
Erica Michaud
    Texas St. Freshman Forward
"The pace was pretty high. I don't think it was too much different than what we're used to, but the wind helped it out too. For the goals, I just gave pressure and never gave up because our team went pretty far this season and it's hard to give it up even though they scored pretty early on us. You've just got to keep fighting until the whistle blows to end the game."
G. Guerrieri
    Texas A&M Head Coach
"For all of our players to get in today, to get a win and to get that experience playing at home is a neat thing. I thought Texas State did a really great job today. It was almost woman against the environment as much as it was against each other. Both teams had to deal with a pretty fierce wind and that can take you out of your match sometimes. I was pleased with the way our players attacked."
"Washington will be a very big challenge for us. I was impressed with the way they defended. I was most impressed with the way they came from behind. Lesle [Gallimore, Washington Head Coach] did a great job of keeping them focused and keeping them going forward. We have a lot of respect for the way that they play. I think it's going to be a really attractive and a competitive game on Sunday."
Beth West
    Texas A&M Freshman Midfielder
"I think it's [playing in the NCAA Tournament] something that every soccer player dreams of. I'm honored to have the opportunity to play in the NCAAs. I think we're all appreciative of the opportunity and we're not taking it for granted.
(On her goal) "It was awesome. I've been trying to shoot a lot more in these last couple of games and I think it's starting to pay off. It's an awesome feeling."
