
Rain Curtails ITA All-American Championships

LOS ANGELES - The qualifying back draws of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships were unable to be completed due to rain, ending play for Texas A&M's Nazari Urbina and Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar.
No. 24-ranked Sanchez-Quintanar, a junior transfer who made her Aggie debut at the tournament, was able to get in an extra match before heading back to College Station and defeated 58th-ranked Brittany Wowchuk of Northwestern, 7-5, 6-2, to finish 2-1.
The Aggies return to action Oct. 14-16 as they compete in the HEB Baylor Invitational at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco.
