Aggies Fall at USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships

FLUSHING, New York – After being named an at-large selection to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the All-American tandem of senior Junior Ore and junior Jackson Withrow posted a 1-2 record against some of the nation's toughest competitors.
In the opening round of the main draw, Ore and Withrow fell to Ashok Narayana and Max Schnur of Columbia, 8-3, before being relegated to the consolation bracket.
In the first consolation match, the Aggie duo ousted Ole Miss' pair of William Kallberg and Stefan Lindmark, 8-4, before bowing out to another SEC foe in Florida's Elliott Orkin and Gordon Watson, 8-7 (3).
The National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships were the Aggies last tournament of the fall season. The dual match season opens on January 19 when the Maroon and White welcome Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas-Pan American for a season-opening doubleheader.
