No. 18 Aggies Face Ranked Road Tests at No. 24 Florida, No. 13 South Carolina

GAINESVILLE – The No. 18 Texas A&M men's tennis team heads on the road to face No. 24 Florida Friday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex and No. 13 South Carolina Sunday at the Carolina Tennis Center. The Florida match begins at 4 p.m. on Friday while the South Carolina contest starts at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
The Aggies (9-5, 2-2 SEC) look to respond after dropping two close matches against Georgia and Vanderbilt, with a 4-3 final score for both matches. Freshman Markus Molder was the only Aggie to grab points in both matches, improving his dual record to 7-1.
Florida (7-6, 1-3 SEC) split its latest weekend of SEC action, grabbing its first conference win over Kentucky, 4-3, and dropping to South Carolina, 5-2. The teams met last spring at the Mitchell Tennis Center, with the Maroon & White sweeping the Gators 7-0. Theo Papamalamis, Tiago Pires and Togan Tokac all picked up singles wins in the last meet up.
South Carolina (10-2, 3-1 SEC) picked up its first conference loss versus No. 4 Texas last weekend, 4-2, before defeating Florida, 5-2. The teams met at the Mitchell Tennis Center last season, with the Gamecocks edging out the win, 4-2. Papamalamis and Tokac grabbed the Maroon & White's only points of the match.
