Adams Falls at USTA/ITA National Indoors

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M junior Harrison Adams fell in the Round of 16 at the 2014 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Friday morning.
Adams, the No. 11 player in the country, was defeated by No. 2 Yannick Hanfmann of USC in straight sets. The New Braunfels native, advanced to Friday's match with a three-set win over No. 22 Leandro Toledo of Minnesota on Thursday.
Hanfmann was one of just three seeded players to advance to Friday's second round. The elite competition is slated to run through Sunday at the host site of the US Open. As the only tournament on the ITA calendar to showcase elite players from every level of college tennis, the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships serves as the culmination of the fall season.
