Toccara Williams Named 2016 SEC Women's Legend

Toccara Williams was named Texas A&M's 2016 SEC Women's Legend, the league announced today. Williams, along with legends from each of the other 13 member institutions, will be honored at the 2016 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla. from March 2-6.
Each legend will be honored during half-time of their teams first game of the tournament, all 14 individuals will also be honored as a group, as well as participate in an autograph session during the tournament. Complimentary posters of the Legends will be available at the session.
Williams, who played from 2000-04, is Texas A&M's career leader with 452 steals, and is the only player in NCAA Division I history to have a steal in 111 straight games, representing every game of her career. She had 1,302 career points (11.7 per game), grabbed 582 rebounds (5.2) and ranks second at Texas A&M with 724 career assists (6.5).
Williams was the NCAA Statistical Champion in steals in 2003-04, and was named First Team All-Big 12 that season, which was head coach Gary Blair's first at Texas A&M. She went on to play professionally with the San Antonio Silver Stars and overseas in Turkey, Korea, China and Israel.
