TULSA, Okla. – Junior Arthur Rinderknech and senior Max Lunkin advanced to the second round of the 2016 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship Main Draw doubles consolation bracket, Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Main draw singles and doubles matches began Thursday with singles and doubles main draw and consolation finals scheduled for Monday, Oct. 10.

Rinderknech partnered with Lunkin in the doubles consolation draw as the 20^th ranked duo topped Niclas Braun and Trevor Foshey of Mississippi State, 7-5, 6-0. The Maroon & White duo will take on No. 13 Felix Corwin and Matic Spec of Minnesota Saturday afternoon. No. 9 Rinderknech fell to conference-foe, No. 37 Alfredo Perez, in the singles main draw second round. The Paris, France native, claimed the opening set 6-4, but was unable to close out the match falling 6-3, 6-4 in the second and third sets.

Jordi Arconada was granted a 'lucky loser' place in the main draw consolation bracket, the junior fell to No. 39 Nick Horton of North Carolina State. Arconada played alongside classmate, AJ Catanzariti, against the nation's first ranked doubles team of Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe of Oklahoma State. The A&M pair challenged in the first set, but fell 7-5 and then dropped the second set 6-3.

Singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive an automatic entry into the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 3-6, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
