No. 15 Texas A&M plays its first game in the Pavilion at Ole Miss, as the women's basketball team travels to Oxford to take on the Rebels on Monday. A win puts Texas A&M in a tie for second place in the SEC Standings.
The game is broadcast on SEC Network with Brenda VanLengen and Carol Ross on the call. Authenticated users can also access the game on their computers, smartphones, tablets and other connected devices at no extra charge.
Additionally, fans in Bryan-College Station can tune into The Zone 1150 AM/102.7 FM and listen to Tom Turbiville and Steve Miller's radio call. The radio stream is also available at 12thMan.com/showcase and on the Radio Aggieland app.
The Aggies have played seven straight games decided by fewer than 10 points for the first time since 1976-77, most recently a 64-58 win over No. 11 Mississippi State on Thursday. The Aggies had to rally from an 11-point deficit late in the first half to defeat the Bulldogs.
In the first matchup between the two teams this season, the Aggies defeated Ole Miss 81-58 on Jan. 14, and were led by a career-high 29 points by Chelsea Jennings. That was the last game A&M has played, over one month ago, that was decided by more than 10 points.
The Aggies, who are tied with Florida for third in the SEC, can move into a tie for second with a win, with Mississippi State idle. Currently, the Aggies hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with second place Mississippi State, and would hold the three-team tiebreaker with Mississippi State and Florida at the moment.
The Rebels are led by Shandricka Sessom, who is averaging a team-leading 15.7 points and 5.6 rebounds. Ole Miss opened its new arena on Jan. 10 by hosting Florida, and defeated No. 18 Kentucky at home on Jan. 21. The Rebels are the youngest team in the SEC this season, the only team in the league without a senior.
After this game, the Aggies host LSU on Thursday, February 18 in the annual BTHO Breast Cancer game. Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m. on SEC Network.
