COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 17th-ranked Texas A&M women's tennis team aims to improve to 10-0 in home matches this season and extend its overall home win streak to 14 when the Aggies play host to 26th-ranked Arkansas on Easter Sunday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. First serve is at 11 a.m.

Texas A&M improved to 12-6 overall and 4-3 in Southeastern Conference matches with a 7-0 thumping against No. 59 Missouri on Friday at the Mitchell Tennis Center. The Razorbacks are coming off a 5-2 loss at No. 15 LSU, Friday in Baton Rouge.

"It's a tricky one," A&M first-year head coach Mark Weaver said when asked about the upcoming match against Arkansas. "I wasn't quite sure where they were this year. They actually just pretty much demolished Auburn last week, 6-1, and it wasn't even really that close. The good news is, now they are kind of on our radar more. I don't think they are going to sneak up on us. We know we are going to have to come to play."

A&M junior Saska Gavrilovska is a team-high No. 32 in the ITA national singles rankings released earlier this week by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Aggies also have a pair of doubles teams ranked: No. 42 Eva Paalma and Rachel Pierson and No. 44 Rutuja Bhosale and Anna Mamalat.

Freshman Domenica Gonzalez leads the Aggies in singles victories with a 16-8 overall record and a 10-4 worksheet in dual matches only. Senior Ines Deheza boasts the most wins in SEC play with a 5-2 record.

Bhosale and Mamalat are a team-best 17-5 overall in doubles, including 9-3 in dual matches only and 3-1 in SEC contests.

Arkansas, whose No. 26 ranking is the highest since a No. 24 showing on Jan. 24, 2012, was riding an eight-match win streak heading into the match at LSU. Included in the streak were victories against both 43rd-ranked Alabama and 15th-ranked Auburn last weekend in Fayetteville.

Ana Oparenovic, who leads Arkansas with a 20-8 overall singles record, including a 14-5 mark in dual matches, is the reigning SEC Freshman of the Week and is making her first appearance in the ITA singles rankings, coming in at team-high No. 83 this week. Yuliya Lysa, who defeated LSU's 19th-ranked Vale Costa at the No. 1 singles line to earn her second consecutive win against a top-25 opponent, is No. 88 in the national rankings.

"Arkansas is stronger towards the top of the lineup," Weaver added. "They've got some good players, but I don't feel like there is any position that, if we are playing good tennis, that we are not going to be at least favored or have a good shot at winning. I think if we come out sharp, similar to the way we did against Missouri, I feel good and confident about the match."

A&M owns an 11-6 lead in the all-time series against Arkansas, including a 7-0 record in matches played in College Station, as well as a 3-0 mark since joining the SEC. Last year, the Aggies defeated Arkansas, 5-2, in Fayetteville.
