Women's Golf Tees Off At The Dickson Monday

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Texas A&M women's golf team heads to The Woodlands to compete in the Dickson, February 26-27 at The Woodlands Country Club.
The Aggies are led by senior Maddie Szeryk, pacing the Aggies with a 70.83 scoring average. Szeryk has posted the Aggies lowest score in each of the last five events. The Allen, Texas, native finished as runner up in the 2017 Dickson Tournament, one stroke back of the lead. Joining Szeryk is sophomore Courtney Dow who has finished in the top half of competition in all six events with two top-10 showings.
Completing the A&M lineup are junior Chloe Velasco and freshman Amber Park, along with freshman Elizabeth Caldarelli, who makes her second career appearance in the starting lineup. Ariana Saenz is competiting as an individual this event.
The Aggies placed fourth as a team last year in the inaugural version of The Dickson. Texas A&M has finished top 5 in four of six events this season.
The Aggies are one of 17 teams to take the course, along with hosts No. 21 Houston, No. 16 Kent State, No. 23 Iowa State, No. 25 Purdue, Charlotte, Clemson, Florida State, Mississippi State, North Texas, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech, Troy, Tulsa and UTSA.
The tournament starts with 36 holes on the Par 72 / 6,392 course on Monday, then finishes with 18 holes on Tuesday. The Aggies will be paired alongside golfers from Florida State and TCU for the 10 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. Live scoring is available on golfstat.com.
