Szeryk Finishes 6-Under To Lead Women's Golf At Clemson Invitational

Texas A&M women's golf senior Maddie Szeryk tied for 7th with a 6-under 210 at the Clemson Invitational, which concluded with the third and final round on Sunday. The Aggies shot 875 as a team, which put the Aggies in 10th place in a field that included 11 Top 50 schools.
Szeryk led the Aggies with an even par 72 on at the Reserve at Lake Keowee, shooting under par in all three rounds of the tournament. She has 20 par-or-better rounds on the season, which rank only behind her freshman and junior seasons in Texas A&M history.
Freshman Amber Park shot a 4-over 220 for the tournament, closing the event with a 5-over 77 Sunday to tie for 39th. Freshman Ariana Saenz shot a 2-over 74 on the par 72 / 6,260 yard course in the final round, tying for 53rd with an 8-over 224.
Courtney Dow shot a 3-over 75 in the third round, tying for 65th with a 13-over 229. Chloe Velasco finished tied for 79th with a 20-over 236 and a 12-over 84 on Sunday.
Alice Hewson of host Clemson won the event with a 10-under 206. No. 7 Furman won the team portion of the event with a 30-under 834.
The Aggies return to action April 2-3 at the Bruzzy Challenge, hosted by North Texas, in Carrollton, Texas.
