Texas A&M Women’s Tennis set for Home Opening Doubleheader Against UTSA and Houston
Jan 18, 2019 | Women's Tennis
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M women's tennis opens its home schedule with a double header against UTSA and Houston at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas. The Aggies showdown against the Roadrunners at 10:00 a.m. (CT) and oppose the Cougars at 2:00 p.m. (CT).
The Aggies return to the courts after a successful trip to California, sweeping Utah and Grand Canyon last Saturday at the Palisades Tennis Club. Texas A&M posted a 4-0 victory over the Utes behind the doubles point and singles wins from No. 110 Jayci Goldsmith, Katya Townsend and Riley McQuaid. In the nightcap, the Maroon & White won on every court to complete the 7-0 sweep with points coming from victories by Goldsmith, Townsend, Tatiana Makarova, McQuaid, Dorthea Faa-Hviding and Lucia Quitero.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Saturday's match against Houston due to a parking conflict with Texas A&M men's basketball against Missouri at Reed Arena scheduled to tipoff at 2:30 p.m. Additionally, fans should stay tuned to 12thMan.com and @AggieWTEN on twitter for updates in case inclement weather forces a schedule adjustment.
