Aggies, Wildcats Play to 1-1 Draw in SEC Opener

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies and Kentucky Wildcats battled to the final minute and played to a 1-1 draw in Friday night's SEC opener on Ellis Field.
In the first 39 minutes of play, the teams combined for six total shots and Kentucky broke the lid in the 40th minute with a goal scored by Jordynn Rhodes. A few minutes after, the Aggies tied it up with a header scored by Kate Colvin. After missing the first five matches due to injury, Colvin has scored a goal in each of the last three matches.
The Maroon & White are unbeaten in the last seven SEC regular season matches. With a record of 8-0-2, A&M remains undefeated in the all-time series against Kentucky.
The game was evenly matched for the full 90 minutes with shots tied at 10-10 and corner kicks close at 5-4.
Kenna Caldwell made five saves in goal for Texas A&M while Marz Josephson had two saves for Kentucky.
