No. 19 Texas A&M Hosts North Texas in Midweek Action

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 19 Texas A&M softball team hosts North Texas in midweek action Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
Texas A&M (19-2) is off to its hottest start since the 2017 Aggies began the year 19-2 and eventually made it to the Women's College World Series. Individually, Emiley Kennedy is the fastest Aggie starter to reach 10 wins in a season since Samantha Show claimed win No. 10 in Texas A&M's 17th game of the 2016 campaign.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Texas A&M boasts a top 25 ranking in all four nationally recognized polls, including No. 17 in NFCA, No. 19 in ESPN/USA Softball, No. 19 in Softball America and No. 23 in the D1 Softball rankings. The Aggies rank top 20 in the nation in numerous categories, including tied eighth-most in home runs (30), No. 9 in slugging percentage (.603) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.32). The Texas A&M pitching staff boasts a 1.62 ERA, which ranks No. 12 in the country, while the offense is ranked No. 18 in batting average at .345. Individually, Kennedy leads the nation in wins (10) and shutouts (5), while her 84 strikeouts are fourth most in the country. Offensively, Ol' Sarge's charges are led by a core of Aggies that rank in the top 40 in the nation in multiple offensive categories. Allie Enright ranks No. 19 in slugging percentage (.938) and No. 30 in on-base percentage (.561), while Jazmine Hill is No. 21 in on-base percentage (.571). Julia Cottrill has 47 total bases this season which is 36th most in the country.
