Mar 07, 2024 | Men's Tennis
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team is set to host No. 22 Mississippi State Friday, March 8 at the Mitchell Tennis Center with first serve set for 6 p.m.
"I am excited about playing our SEC opener at home," head coach Steve Denton said. "There are no easy opponents in the SEC. Mississippi State is a very experienced and savvy team that we will need to be at our best to defeat. We will need to win the big points in order to come out on top."
The Maroon & White (10-3, 1-1 SEC) return home after securing their first league play victory against then No. 16 South Carolina Gamecocks, 4-3. A&M has taken down four league opponents this year, with three of the matches coming before SEC action officially began.
A&M won the last match against the Bulldogs, 4-2, in Starkville during the 2023 league slate. Mississippi State is 9-3 on the season with its first conference play win coming against Georgia.
