
No. 10 Men’s Tennis to Host Ole Miss and Lamar for Sunday Doubleheader

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team hosts SEC opponent Ole Miss and Lamar Sunday, March 10 at the Mitchell Tennis Center with first serves set for 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.
"Another tough SEC team comes to town on Sunday in Ole Miss," head coach Steve Denton said. "Our guys will have to recover quickly and get ready to play at a high level. I liked our energy last night and we will need it again tomorrow. The doubleheader tests our depth as we face Lamar in the evening match, giving more of our players experience and an opportunity to play for the Maroon & White."
The Maroon & White (11-3, 2-1 SEC) are coming off an SEC home opener sweep against the No. 22 Mississippi State Bulldogs, 7-0. The match was highlighted by an upset victory from No. 64 JC Roddick who took down No. 27 Petar Jovanovic in a three-set thriller (3-6, 7-5, 6-3).
The Aggies are looking to get a win against Ole Miss (7-5, 1-1 SEC) after falling to the Rebels, 4-3, during the 2023 league slate. Ole Miss secured their last win over SEC Opponent No. 19 LSU. The Maroon & White will face off against the Rebels in the noon contest.
A&M won the last match against the Cardinals, 7-0, in Aggieland during the 2022-23 campaign. The Maroon & White are 15-0 in the all-time series against Lamar. The Cardinals are 5-8 on the season with its last win coming against Jackson State.
