Aggies Lose 2-1 Decision versus Oklahoma

A&M's league record evens at 1-1-0
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M soccer team came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 decision against the Oklahoma Sooners in Sunday's match at Ellis Field.
All the scoring came in the first 27 minutes of the contest as Oklahoma (8-2-0, 1-1-0) claimed its first league win as a member of the SEC.
The Sooners took advantage of a bad clearance by the A&M back line to break the scoring seal 17:05 into the contest. Texas A&M (6-4-0, 1-1-0) offered an immediate response with Mia Pante scoring on an assist from Sydney Becerra a mere 40 seconds later.
Oklahoma reclaimed the lead at the 26:26 mark, converting a corner kick with Michelle Pak scoring the game winner.
The Sooners owned the edge in shots (5-4) in the opening act. Corner kicks were even at 1-1 in the first half, but the difference in the match was Oklahoma converting on its opportunity.
The Aggies made a late run at it outshooting Oklahoma 6-2 in the second half, but they were unable to come up with the equalizer. Sooners' keeper Caroline Duffy made three saves in the second half and five in the contest.
