Texas A&M Returns Home to Take on Georgia Thursday Night

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women's basketball team returns home after being on the road for two straight games to play Georgia at 7 p.m. Thursday inside Reed Arena.
Fans are encouraged to wear black as the team will be donning its black jerseys for the contest against the Lady Bulldogs.
The Aggies (8-8, 1-3 SEC) are coming off one of the toughest stretches in program history, as they took on four consecutive ranked opponents to start conference play for the first time. During those four games, Texas A&M plucked off one win against then No. 25 Ole Miss in dramatic fashion at Reed Arena, 60-58. The Maroon & White won the second half in three of the four games by an average of 42.0-31.0 points per game.
Texas A&M is led by Aicha Coulibaly who is averaging a team-high 12.3 points per game. She is scoring over 60% of her points in the second half of games this season and is shooting 50.0% from the field.
Jada Malone is No. 10 in the country among players that have made at least 4.0 field goals per game in field goal percentage, converting on 65.0% of her shots this year. Malone has gone perfect from the field in three games this year, including a 7-of-7 performance against Ole Miss.
The Maroon & White is 7-3 at home this year and welcomes Georgia (9-9, 1-3 SEC) who is 0-3 on the road. The two programs have split the last two meetings by a combined six points. The last bout in Aggieland between the two went in favor of Texas A&M, as the Aggies won 75-73.
