White Named to Ray Guy Award “Ray’s 8” Week 6 List

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M punter Tyler White was named one of "Ray's 8" for Week 6, the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award committee announced Monday.
White punted four times for an average of 45.5 yards per boot, landing two inside the 20-yard line and one inside the 10-yard line in the Aggies' 31-9 win over Mississippi State. The Southlake, Texas, native has booted seven of 22 punts over 50 yards this season, while averaging 44.2 yards per punt.
The weekly recognition marks the second for White this season after earning the honor Week 1. The Ray Guy Award honors the nation's best collegiate punter. Fans can vote here for the Week 6 Ray Guy Punter of the Week Award.
Texas A&M hosts Florida on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 6 p.m. CT kick on ESPN. Florida is 2-3 on the season and is coming off a 29-21 home victory over No. 9 Texas.
