Veronda Earns Philippine National Team Call-up

MANILA – Texas A&M soccer goalkeeper Maysen Veronda was one of 31 players called up for the Philippine Football Federation's February training camp.
The Manilla-based camp commences as the Philippines prepare for AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers as well as the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Championship and the Southeast Asia Games which are sprinkled throughout the 2025 calendar year. The Filipinas are enjoying the most successful run in history, making their FIFA Women's World Cup debut in 2023, as well as winning the ASEAN Championship trophy and advancing to the Asian Cup semifinals in 2022.
A rising sophomore, Veronda's rookie campaign in Aggieland was cut short. She started the season opener against Lamar, registering a shutout in A&M's 5-0 win at Lamar with three saves. It would be her only appearance after suffering an injury in workouts the following week.
The Aggies open the spring exhibition slate March 23 when they host Baylor and Incarnate Word in 60-minute tri-matches.
