Women’s Hoops Heads to Auburn for SEC Bout

AUBURN – The Texas A&M women's basketball team hits the road to take on Auburn inside Neville Arena Thursday night at 6 p.m.
The Aggies (10-11, 3-6 SEC) have the No. 4 NET Strength of Schedule in the country, according to warrennolan.com, and have played nine ranked opponents so far this season. They have won two of those ranked matchups and will be seeking their first true road win of the year at Auburn.
The Maroon & White boasts the No. 2 long-ball defense during league play, holding conference opponents to 27.9% from beyond the arc. The defense has also been proficient at protecting the rim, coming in at No. 16 in the country in blocks per game (5.0). Lauren Ware leads that effort with 1.9 swats per contest.
