No. 12 Aggies Face Road Matchup Against Commodores

NASHVILLE – The No. 12 Texas A&M men's tennis team opens a weekend on the road versus Vanderbilt Friday, March 21, with a 3:30 p.m. first serve at the Currey Tennis Center.
The Aggies (12-5, 5-1 SEC) are looking to extend their five-match winning streak after an undefeated two-week stretch with wins against Auburn, Florida, Rice and Alabama. Texas A&M has currently split its two conference road games, with a loss to Arkansas and a win over Oklahoma.
After Friday's action against Alabama, senior Alan Magadan and junior Togan Tokac extended their winning streaks to five and seven, respectively, boasting undefeated records in conference action. After an upset victory over the No. 42 doubles duo from Tuscaloosa, Tokac and partner freshman Theo Papamalamis moved from No. 52 to No. 30 in the ITA rankings with a 5-2 record.
Vanderbilt's (8-9, 1-6 SEC) only conference win has come from a road match at LSU. In the team's most recent meeting last March, the Maroon & White dominated the Black & Gold, 6-1. Seniors JC Roddick, Luke Casper and Giulio Perego along with Tokac claimed singles points against the Commodores.
