No. 22 Baseball Hosts SFA For Midweek Action

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – No. 22 Texas A&M closes out a five-game homestand with a midweek matchup against SFA at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network+ and may be heard locally on 1150 AM/93.7 FM The Zone. Fans may follow along through live stats or on X, @AggieBaseball.
Tuesday's matchup marks the 29th all-time meeting between the two programs. All 28 prior meetings were held at Blue Bell Park, and the Aggies (14-1) lead the series, 27-1, over the Lumberjacks (11-6). The programs last met in 2020, where the Aggies defeated the Lumberjacks 13-4.
The Maroon & White swept Oakland over the weekend, outscoring the Golden Grizzlies 28-6. The Aggie offense was paced by Caden Sorrell, who logged seven RBI, five hits and two home runs during the three-game set. His home run in the fifth inning of Saturday's finale was his 31st as an Aggie, which ranks ninth-most in program history. The junior outfielder leads the Aggies in batting average (.423), OPS (1.415), RBI (28) home runs (8).
The Texas A&M pitching staff was sharp against Oakland, recording 24 strikeouts and only issuing two walks across the three-game series. Shane Sdao also recorded a career-high eight strikeouts in Friday's series opener. As a unit, the Aggies rank first in the country in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.14) and walks allowed per nine innings (1.52). The Maroon & White's 1.04 WHIP and 3.05 ERA rank eighth and 12th, respectively.
Offensively, the Aggies rank inside the top 20 nationally in batting average (.340), slugging percentage (.600), home runs (29) and runs scored (147).

- Shuttle Buses will be available to ADA guest starting 2 hours before first pitch and 1 hour postgame. Pick up will be on Olsen Blvd in front of Lot 102 to the Plaza of Blue Bell Park.
