SENIOR (2014-15): Drew 17 starts across both equitation disciplines in her final collegiate season … recorded seven wins over fences, earning MOP honors after scoring a season-high 86 over South Carolina (February 21) … averaged a 78.73 throughout the season and recorded at least one win against each SEC opponent …
JUNIOR (2013-14): Rode 13 times for points in equitation over fences as team captain, averaging a score of 77.63…All three wins came against top-10 ranked opponents including TCU and Auburn…captured an 11-point margin victory against No. 3 South Carolina…High score of 88 against SMU tied for highest of the season for the Aggies…Competed at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Collegiate Invitational in March, leaving Tellepsen Arena with fifth place…Saw action in the SEC Tournament, almost capturing the wing against the event MOP….After recovering from a Spring injury, took to the Summer Circuit and rode away with Adult Equitation Champion title from the Vermont Summer Festival, Champion in New England Adult Medal, Marshall & Sterling Adult Medal at Fairfield’s A Show and Reserve in Adult Medal at Lake Placid Horse Show.
2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): Competed six times during the season with wins coming against South Dakota State and SMU…High score of 85 against SMU tied for third highest of the season for the Aggies…Won rides against South Dakota State and SMU by 15 and eight points, respectively.
2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Earned a spot on the All-Big 12 team after a strong freshman season over fences … named the Aggies' co-Rookie of the Year at the annual season-ending banquet ... went 9-5 on the year with an MVP and a scoring average of 76 … won six of her final eight rides, including an impressive 3-1 mark in her first trip to NCEAs … first career victory came in the season opener with a 79-66 win over Fresno State’s Holly Elsbernd (9/24) … picked up her first MVP thanks to an 82-72 defeat of K-State’s Larissa Laffey (3/2) … went 1-1 at the Big 12 Championship … opened NCEA competition with a 144-129 win in the first round over Kara Spicer of Fresno State (4/12) … then topped South Carolina’s Kimberly McCormack 164-161 in the quarterfinals (4/13) before coming back several hours later and downing All-American Michelle Morris of Georgia 144-132 … win over UGA helped give the Aggies the overall national championship for the first time since 2002 ... named a Texas A&M Athletics Scholar Award winner.

Leah Marie Chenelle is the daughter of Armand and Martha Chenelle of Hebron, Connecticut ... born July 24, 1992 in Hebron ... has two younger sisters, Elizabeth and Rebekah ... parents are both horse trainers ... a sports management major, hopes to work for a sports team after graduation, then eventually own her own ... chose Texas A&M for the great academics and the strong equestrian program ... a 2010 graduate with honors of Cornerstone Christian School in Manchester, Connecticut, and the UNL Independent Study High School ... was “miss basketball” at her high school, lettered in the sport her first two years and was a 2-time offensive player of the year honoree ... has been riding 17 years, primarily show jumping ... has won top ribbons at the WEF, Lake Placid, Saratoga and the Vermont Summer Festival ... placed ninth at the New England finals ... has competed at the Devon, the Pennsylvania National, the USET Talent Search Finals and the Maclay Finals ... taken multiple trips out of the country doing work helping underprivileged children ... enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, playing basketball, running, business and doing anything outdoors in her spare time.
