Steve Gephardt enters his fourth season as the director of strength and conditioning with the Texas A&M men’s basketball program in 2023-24.
Known for his innovative player development strategies, Gephardt is responsible for the day-to-day fitness and performance of the men’s basketball team. In his role, Gephardt develops in-season and off-season programs designed to enhance speed development, power production, mobility, flexibility and injury prevention.
Gephardt came to Texas A&M from TCU where he served as associate head strength and conditioning coach for 13 years. He had direct oversight of the strength and conditioning programs for the men’s basketball and men’s golf programs and assisted with development of the football program.
Before his stint at TCU, Gephardt served as a graduate assistant at UAB, overseeing the strength program for volleyball and women’s tennis while assisting with all Blazer sports teams.
Certified by both the National Strength Coaches Association and the College Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, Gephardt earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Arizona State in 2006.
Gephardt and his wife, Meghan, have two children, Kaiden and Evyn.
