Darius Dunaway joined the Texas A&M football staff in May 2025 as the director of character and culture.
Dunaway arrived in Aggieland after serving as area director and chaplain for fellowship of christian athletes at Arkansas State University, where he provided spiritual guidance, pastoral care and leadership to student-athletes and coaches. He traveled with football and basketball teams, led chapel services, coaches’ studies and small group sessions, fostering community and encouraging personal growth.
Previously, Dunaway worked as a teacher and minister with City Youth Ministry and Micro-Society Elementary in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and has been recognized as an ordained minister, college football captain, and Male Ambassador of the Year. He is passionate about discipleship, outreach and equipping others with hope and truth.
A native of Monroe, La., Dunaway earned a bachelor’s degree in mid-level education (math and science) from Arkansas State University. He was a defensive lineman for the Red Wolves football team from 2010-13 and he was a two-time member of the school’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
