COLLEGE STATION, Texas --- The Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its fall schedule with a 160.5-95.5 victory over Rice on Saturday at the Student Recreation Natatorium.

The Aggies won 13 of 14 races, including four 1-2-3-4 A&M finishes and seven 1-2 efforts, in their strong all-around win over the Owls. A&M received a pair of individual wins from sophomores Breeja Larson and Kim Pavlin, and single victories from junior Maureen McLaine, sophomore Tess Simpson, senior Rita Medrano, freshman Sammie Bosma, junior Liz Nelson, sophomore Caroline McElhany and sophomore Cammile Adams.

"It was a good overall effort and I was pleased with the way we competed," Aggie head coach Steve Bultman said. "We're back to hard training so they're tired and sore, but they stepped up and raced, which I was happy to see."

A&M opened and closed the meet with relay victories. The foursome of senior Anna Heller, sophomore Erica Dittmer, freshman Emily Neubert and junior Meagan Hairston grabbed the victory in the 200-meter medley relay in a time of 2:01.45, while the team of sophomore Kristina Kontrimas, Dittmer, Bosma and McElhany took the win in the 200 free relay in 1:46.87.

Larson posted wins in the 100 breast (1:11.20) and the 200 breast (2:38.51), while Pavlin took first in the 50 free (27.02) and 200 back (2:20.72). Aggies grabbed victories in the 800 free (8:56.87, McLaine), 100 back (1:04.97, Simpson), 200 fly (2:13.58, Medrano), 100 free (58.82, Bosma), 400 free (4:28.08, Nelson), 100 fly (1:02.97, McElhany) and 400 IM (4:59.18, Adams).

The Aggies and Owls swam on a 50-meter long course on Saturday, rather than the traditional collegiate 25-yard short course, because it's an Olympic year.
