Nov 01, 2015 | Women's Basketball
COLLEGE STATION- No. 16 Texas A&M put five players in double figures, and the Aggies cruised to a 92-40 women's basketball exhibition game win over Texas Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena. Courtney Williams scored a game-high 17 to lead the way, while Jordan Jones dished out nine assists.

The five Aggies in double figures included Shlonte Allen and Danni Williams, who scored 10+ in a game for the first time as an Aggie. Allen, a junior college All-American who only played in six games last season before missing the remainder of the season, scored 11 points. Danni Williams, a five star recruit from Clovis, N.M., scored 10 points with 2 3-pointers.

QUICKIE NOTES
Texas A&M Head Coach Gary Blair
Opening statement
"I thought we really came out ready to play. We were playing a lot of different defensive schemes on them that we are still working on, in particularly a lot of traps and everything like that. When you have eleven players ready to go, you can rotate a lot of people into the game. Texas Wesleyan was missing shots in the first half that they could have made, so they got over being a little scared, but then they played us a good second half of the ball game. You would like to say what didn't we do well, we gave up the right handed drive and that's just something we have to get better at for the season"
