COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies enter their Senior Day contest against the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday on one of their hottest streaks in recent history. The Maroon & White take an eight-match win streak into the match at Ellis Field with a 1:35 p.m. first kick.
Seniors Mikaela Harvey, Stephanie Malherbe, McKayla Paulson and Haley Pounds will be honored in a pre-match ceremony.
It is also Pirates & Princesses Day at Ellis Field. All children dressed as pirates and princesses are invited on field pregame to stand with the team for the National Anthem and at halftime to form a boot line to welcome the team back to the field. The pregame Kids Zone will include pirate ship and princess castle inflatables, pirate and princess actors and a selfie station photo booth.
Sunday is also Take A Kid to the Game Day. Purchase one adult ticket and bring up to four kids to the game FREE. Available in-person on match day only.
The match will be Aggie Soccer's Aggie Can game. Fans can gain FREE admission with donation of canned goods. Details at www.12thMan.com/aggiescan.
The eight-match win streak has been full of grit with the Aggies battling through injuries to pull off six one-goal victories. The run is the longest win streak for Texas A&M since it strung together eight triumphs at the end of the 2014 season, culminating in their first-ever College Cup appearance.
The Aggies enter action alone in second place in the SEC standings with 21 points (7-1-0). They trail first-place South Carolina (24 pts – 8-0-0) with two matches left on the league slate.
A win Sunday would give the Aggies a nine-game win streak, matching the sixth longest in school annals. The most recent nine-game win streak came in 2012. The school record 13 consecutive wins encompassing the last 10 games of the 1994 season and the first three games of the 1995 campaign. Texas A&M won 11 consecutive games in 2001 and strung together 10-game win streaks in 1995, 2006 and 2007.
The Aggies current seven-match conference win streak is one shy of their SEC best of eight set in 2013. Texas A&M also won eight consecutive matches as a member of the Big 12 in 2010. The school record for a conference win streak is 14 games in Big 12 action between Oct. 4, 1996 and Oct. 10, 1997. A&M also boasts a 12-match Big 12 win streak between Oct. 21, 2005 and Oct. 22, 2006, a nine-match Big 12 win streak between Oct. 11, 1998 and Aug. 29, 1999 and an eight-match Big 12 win streak from Oct. 19, 2001 and Oct. 6, 2002.

The Commodores are enjoying one of their best seasons in nearly a decade. At 10-5-1, Vanderbilt has their most wins since the 2009 campaign when they finished 11-8-1. At 5-2-1, the squad is tied with Tennessee for fourth place in the SEC with 16 points. The Commodores are 10-0 when scoring a goal.
