Women's Golf Tees Off At Schooner Fall Classic Saturday

NORMAN, Okla.- The No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team takes on a competitive field at the 2017 Schooner Fall Classic, hosted by Oklahoma at Belmar Golf Club from Saturday to Monday. The Aggies have finished in the top five of both of their tournaments this season.
Texas A&M is joined in the tournament by hosts No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 4 Alabama, Baylor, Central Florida, Clemson, Florida, No. 20 Florida State, Miami, Mississippi State, No. 10 Notre Dame, Texas, Texas State, Tulsa and Washington. This is the fifth straight year Texas A&M has played in the Schooner Fall Classic.
Two-time All-American Maddie Szeryk and 2017 SEC All-Freshman selection Courtney Dow are joined in the lineup by Amber Park, Elizabeth Caldarelli, making her first start in the Texas A&M lineup, and Chloe Velasco. The five-member A&M lineup will face the par 71 / 6,046 yard course at Belmar for 54 holes.
Monday's final round is slated to be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest from 1-3:30 p.m. CT. It is also available on Fox College Sports Pacific and the Fox Sports GO app.
The Aggies finished 5th at the Jim West Challenge in their last outing, shooting 1-under par for the tournament. Szeryk led the Aggies with a 10-under showing, finishing in second place. She was joined in the Top 20 by Dow (T-9th, -4) and Park (t-20th, E).
