Women's Golf Ties For Eighth At Schooner Fall Classic

NORMAN, Okla.- Senior Maddie Szeryk and freshman Amber Park both posted under-par tournaments, as the No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team finished tied for eighth at the 2017 Schooner Fall Classic.
The Aggies shot a 5-over 289 at Belmar Golf Club in Monday's final round. Texas A&M finished the tournament with a 7-over 859; Alabama won the 54-hole tournament with a 21-under 831.
Szeryk shot an even-par 71 on Monday, finishing the tournament tied for 9th at 210 (-3), marking her third straight top 10 finish and the 24th of her career. Park had the Aggies' best score on the par 71 / 6,046 yard course in the third round, shooting a 1-under 70 to finish the tournament tied for 16th at 212 (-1).
Courtney Dow shot a 2-over 73 for the third consecutive day, finishing tied for 41st with a three-round total of 219 (+6). Chloe Velasco joined Dow in the tie for 41st after shooting a 4-over 75 on Monday. Elizabeth Caldarelli shot a 5-over 76 to finish the tournament tied for 75th at 233 (+20).
The Aggies return to action October 22-24 at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio.
