COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 23 Texas A&M Aggies look to continue their run of outstanding play as they host the Arkansas Razorbacks at Ellis Field Friday evening. First kick is slated for 7:05 p.m.
The match is Military & First Responder Appreciation Night and Dixie Chicken Night. All active duty and retired military, police, firefighters and medical personnel can claim two FREE tickets to the game and purchase additional tickets at the group rate of $3 each via www.12thMan.com/promotions. In their last appearance at Ellis Field, Texas A&M scored a 2-1 victory over then No. 6 Florida last Thursday with goals by Cienna Arrieta and Kendall Ritchie. In their most recent match, the Aggies went on the road and thumped Missouri, 5-1, including three goals in the final 33 minutes playing one woman down. The Maroon & White are fourth in the SEC with six points (2-1-0), three points behind first-place South Carolina (3-0-0) and two points behind Auburn (2-0-1) and Vanderbilt (2-0-1).
Texas A&M has a pair of 5-1 road wins this season, including Sept. 10 at then-No. 19 Kansas and at Missouri. The last year the Aggies posted two road games in which they scored five or more goals was 2001 when the Maroon & White had triumphs at Missouri (5-2) and Texas (6-0).
The Aggies are 6-1-0 all-time against the Razorbacks. Teas A&M won the most recent meeting, 1-0 in 2015, with Mikaela Harvey scoring in the fifth minute and holding on the last 85 minutes, outshooting the Razorbacks 20-10, in College Station. Since joining the SEC, Texas A&M is 3-0-0 against the Razorbacks.
Arkansas enters the match with a 6-5-1 overall mark and tied for seventh in the SEC with a 1-1-1 league ledger.
