Texas A&M is riding high after Friday's 4-0 rout of host Hawai'i. In Friday night's season lid lifter, Brittany Crabtree recorded a brace for the first multi-goal game of her career. Rheagen Smith and Jordan Hill each added a goal in the win. The trio of Crabtree, Smith and Hill entered the season with just six career goals on their combined ledgers.
The Aggies used 20 players in Friday's match with five freshmen seeing action. Rookies Kendall Bates and Tera Ziemer earned their first career starts.
Cosette Morché did not need to record a save to book the shutout. The Aggies' defense stymied Hawai'i, holding the Rainbow Wahine to just two shots in the match, including none in the second half.
This marks the Aggies first-ever meeting against Loyola on the soccer pitch.
Loyola Marymount is coming off a 9-6-4 season, including a 4-4-1 record in West Coast Conference play. The Lions opened the 2018 campaign with a 1-1 draw against the Bowling Green Falcons.
Preseason All-WCC midfielder Emma Tyrnauer is the Lions' headliner. Loyola Marymount also returns last year's returning starter in goal, Charlee Pruitt. She logged a 1.07 goals-against average and six shutouts in 2017.
