No. 2 Aggies Face Missouri, No. 16 Vanderbilt

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 2 Texas A&M women's tennis team takes on Missouri and No. 16 Vanderbilt over the weekend to end a four-match road stint.
Friday's match against the Tigers is 1 p.m. at the Mizzou Tennis Complex, while Sunday's contest versus the Commodores is 1 p.m. at the Currey Tennis Center.
The Maroon & White are 14-1 and boast a six-match win streak. Texas A&M enters the weekend tied with Georgia and LSU atop the SEC standings with a 5-0 mark.
The Aggies are led by back-to-back SEC Player of the Year, Mary Stoiana, who is coming off her second SEC Player of the Week Award after her performance in victories over No. 11 Auburn and Florida last weekend. The senior picked up wins against No. 4 DJ Bennett (6-4, 6-3) and No. 50 Rachel Gailis (6-3, 6-1) to claim her team high 14th ranked wins of the season and is 14-3 versus nationally ranked opponents.
No. 15 Nicole Khirin, who garnered All-American status this fall, is second on the team in ranked wins, holding a 10-4 record in ranked matchups. The junior leads the team in total victories, posting a 24-4 season record. Khirin is undefeated when playing on court 2 (8-0).
No. 51 Mia Kupres is 15-4 this season, including three ranked wins, and is 4-1 in SEC play. The junior shot up nearly 40 spots in the latest ITA rankings, going from No. 90 to No. 51 and from unranked to No. 68 with her partner Daria Smetannikov in doubles.
The reigning SEC Freshman of the Year, No. 57 Lucciana Perez, has won six consecutive matches and is undefeated in SEC play (5-0). The sophomore holds a 14-3 season record with two ranked wins.
No. 62 Smetannikov and Lexington Reed round out the lineup for the Maroon & White. Smetannikov is second on the team in total wins with 23 and tied for third on the team with three ranked victories. Reed is undefeated in SEC play (4-0) and owns a five-match win streak.
Texas A&M holds a 29-2 record against Missouri (10-5, 1-4 SEC) and is 12-12 all-time versus Vanderbilt (11-2, 4-1 SEC). The Commodores feature three ranked singles players, including No. 35 Bridget Stammel, No. 44 Celia-Belle Mohr and No. 119 Valeria Ray. In doubles, Mohr pairs with Sophia Webster to rank No. 9 in the nation.
