
Women’s Basketball Set to Host No. 7 Vanderbilt

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION - The Texas A&M women's basketball team returns home to take on the No. 7 Vanderbilt Commodores inside Reed Arena Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Aggies (8-4, 1-2 SEC) are coming off their first SEC win of the season after defeating Florida, 74-66, on the road. Ny'Ceara Pryor continues to shine for the Maroon & White as she registered her fourth double-double of the season after recording 18 points and 12 assists to go with six steals against the Gators. Pryor is now just 12 points shy of becoming the sixth player in NCAA history to record 2,000 points, 500 assists and 400 steals in a career.
Fatmata Janneh and Pien Steenbergen found their shots for the Aggies with Janneh recording a season-high 22 points to eclipse 1,000 for her career and nine rebounds to keep her season average at an SEC-best 11.8 rebounds per game. Steenbergen knocked down two threes for a season high eight points in her longest outing of the season.
Texas A&M leads the all-time series over Vanderbilt 10-8. The Commodores are currently undefeated (16-0, 3-0 SEC) and are coming off a 99-68 win over Missouri.
The Aggies will honor nearly 70 former players, staff members and managers at halftime as they host their annual reunion.
