Texas A&M Track & Field Host Alumni Muster

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's and women's track & field teams return to the Brazos Valley to host the Alumni Muster on Saturday at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
The one-day meet begins with select field events during the day, while the majority of the meet begins at 5:30 p.m. It will be Senior Day for 22 Aggies who will be honored beginning at 5 p.m.
How to Follow
The E.B. Cushing Stadium gates open at 11:30 a.m. for the field events. Tickets can be purchased at E.B. Cushing Stadium as well as online at 12thman.com/tracktickets. Students get in free with their sports pass. Those unable to attend can follow the action by tuning into the live stream via SEC Network+. Fans can also follow @aggietfxc on Twitter for live updates as well as live results provided by Flash Results.

Texas A&M Preview
Texas A&M enters 75 Aggies, 44 men and 31 women. Bowerman Watch List athletes Tyra Gittens and Athing Mu are in action. Gittens leads the NCAA in the high jump with a season best clearance of 6-2.75 (1.90m), she enters the event at 6:30 p.m. Gittens will also make appearances in the long jump, javelin and 800m. Mu, who leads the country with a collegiate record 800m time of 1:57.73, is scheduled to run in the open 400m at 6:35 p.m. Charokee Young enters the 400m as well, and she currently ranks No. 3 in the country at 51.49. Deborah Acquah ranks No. 3 in both the long jump and triple jump will enter her name in the triple jump competition. Lamar Distin enters her specialty, the high jump. She is No. 4 in the NCAA with her best clearance at 6-0.75 (1.85m).
Ranked among the best in the NCAA, Bryce Deadmon, Moitalel Mpoke, Devon Achane and Brandon Miller each hit the track. Deadmon and Mpoke toe the line in the 400m at 6:43 p.m., Deadmon is No. 2 in the NCAA with his season best time of 44.58. Achane, one of the nation's top freshman sprinters currently ranks No. 6 in the 200m with a season best time of 20.31. Miller, the 2021 SEC Indoor 800m Champion, enters his main event for a scheduled 7:24 p.m. start.
"Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie!"
Multiple former Texas A&M student-athletes turned professionals will compete Saturday, including multiple Olympians. 2016 Olympians Maggie Malone (javelin) and Shelby Vaughan (discus) enter their respective events. Olympians Deon Lendore (400m) and Lindon Victor (discus) make appearances as well. Other notable Aggies include, Sam Hardin (javelin), Will Williams (long jump) and Jacob Wooten (pole vault).
Weekly Honors
Deborah Acquah, Dominique Mustin and Young each earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors. Acquah was named the women's field athlete of the week, Mustin the women's freshman of the week and Young the women's newcomer of the week. It was Acquah and Young's second career SEC weekly honor and Mustin's first career.
Mu was named the United States Track & Field (USATF) Athlete of the Week for her collegiate 800m record performance of 1:57.73 on April 17. Mu broke the U20 national record and ranks No. 6 on the world all-time U20 performer list and No. 10 on the all-time U.S. performer list.
