No. 11 Aggies Down Kentucky for Third-Straight Win, 6-1

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 11 Texas A&M women's tennis team claimed its third-straight win as it downed Kentucky Sunday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center, 6-1.
The Aggies (15-6, 7-1 SEC) asserted their dominance early, as they secured the doubles point with wins on courts 3 and 5. Nicole Khirin/Sydney Fitch didn't drop a game on the way to their sixth-straight victory over Kentucky's (7-9, 1-6 SEC) Julia Zhu/Lidia Gonzalez, 6-0. Jeanette Mireles/Lucciana Perez added their second win of the weekend, downing Ellie Eades/Zoe Hammond to ensure the doubles point, 6-1.
Doubling the Texas A&M advantage was No. 36 Mia Kupres, as the sophomore claimed her 13th dual match singles win of the season on court 3. She bested Gonzalez in straight sets and didn't drop a single game in the match (6-0, 6-0).
No. 1 Mary Stoiana left the Maroon & White one point from victory with her 15th dual match win of the season. She faced Lizzy Stevens on court 1, besting the Wildcat 6-2, 6-1.
Perez dealt the match-clinching blow on court 4, as the freshman claimed her third-straight singles match downing Eades in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) for the team win, 4-0.
The Maroon & White secured another pair of victories after the match result was sealed. Ellie Pittman won her first conference singles match of the year on court 6, as she beat Ellie Myers (6-2, 6-4). No. 14 Khirin then made it six with her 14th-straight win on court 2 over Hammond (7-5, 6-3).
