
Women’s Basketball Hits the Road to Take on Florida

GAINESVILLE – The Texas A&M women's basketball team continues its road trip to Gainesville on Thursday to take on the Florida Gators inside Exactech Arena at 6 p.m.
The Aggies (7-4, 0-2 SEC) are led by Fatmata Janneh who just recorded her fifth straight double-double with a season high 18 points to go with 17 rebounds versus Georgia. The junior is averaging 11.9 points and an SEC best 12.1 rebounds per game.
Ny'Ceara Pryor has also been a force for the Aggies, averaging 16.4 points, 7.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 steals. Her SPG mark is tops in the SEC and fourth in the nation while her APG is sixth in the country and third in the league. She is on the cusp, needing 30 points and eight assists, of becoming the sixth player in DI history to record at least 2,000 points, 500 assists and 400 steals in a career.
Texas A&M owns an 11-6 lead in the all-time series over Florida despite dropping the previous five matchups. The Gators (12-5, 0-2 SEC) are coming off a loss to No. 3 ranked South Carolina which marked their first loss at home of the season.
